What is Keycard?
Status, an Ethereum messaging app and mobile browser startup, has launched a new cryptocurrency hardware wallet called Keycard. The company says that Keycard is an HD BIP-32 wallet which safely stores Ethereum, ERC20 tokens, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Ripple and any currency based on ECDSA signatures. According to an official of the company, the wallet is contactless and will work with any mobile device that supports NFC technology. All that is needed for a user to tap their Keycard to their mobile device is for their mobile device to support NFC technology. While it's a hardware wallet, only users will be able to carry this new product because only one Keycard can be issued per person. A single pairing code can enable users to set up 5 concurrent secure channels (multiple phone devices etc)
