Hop Protocol Review

Hop Protocol, launched in 2021, makes token transfers across Ethereum's layer-2 networks smooth and quick. To speed up the process, it uses liquidity providers, known as Bonders, who temporarily front liquidity on destination chains. This setup not only enables faster transfers but also allows bonders to earn fees, creating a decentralized and incentivized ecosystem. Managed by the Hop DAO, the protocol’s governance includes a well-funded treasury that holds 60.5% of the HOP token supply, ensuring stability and growth. Additional support comes from early investors, with 6.25% of tokens allocated to back its development. The Hop Protocol ecosystem is continually evolving with new features like cross-chain messaging and NFT bridging, broadening its interoperability and enhancing the user experience.
