Aave V3, launched in early 2022, brings exciting upgrades to DeFi. The new High Efficiency Mode (eMode) allows users to maximize their borrowing power when they borrow and supply assets with similar price behaviors, such as stablecoins. Another important feature is Isolation Mode, which allows Aave to safely add new, riskier assets by setting specific borrowing limits. The Portal function also supports easy cross-chain transfers, making it simple to move assets across multiple blockchains, enhancing access and interoperability. Supported by Gauntlet and BGD Labs, who are also active in regular security audits and improvements, Aave V3 emphasizes user-friendly design while maintaining strong security and flexibility within the ecosystem.
